BASIC TRAINING

"You've got 10 seconds to get off this bus, and you just wasted three!"

As with any military service, before you can do anything or go anywhere, you are going to have to go through basic training. After this "experience," you'll graduate with the basic skills you'll need to serve as a Coastie.

Enlisted Basic Training

ENLISTED BASIC TRAINING

This is tough. You'll be challenged every day, both mentally and physically. For eight weeks in Cape May, N.J., you'll be pushed and tested. You'll work harder than you ever thought possible. But when you graduate, you'll do so with the knowledge that you've accomplished something of which both you and your family can be proud. You'll be a member of the United States Coast Guard.
