Reserve Officer -- Part-time Officer, Full-time Responsibility

If you have, or are about to earn your Bachelor's Degree, the Coast Guard offers you the opportunity to become a Reserve Officer. This is a chance for you to serve part-time in the Coast Guard, and close to home.

As a Reserve Officer candidate, you will attend Reserve Officer Candidate Indoctrination (ROCI) at the Coast Guard Academy, then report to your assigned Coast Guard unit to begin an exciting career as a Coast Guard officer. Reservists may also be activated at times of emergency or disaster.
