BASIC TRAINING INTERVIEW SERIES

Have you ever wondered what Coast Guard basic training is like? How hard is it? Are the company commanders really that scary? This interview series answers those and other questions from the recruits' points of view.
Come follow five recruits as they take on one of the toughest basic training experiences of the U.S. armed services. Picked at random, these young enlisted men and women were interviewed at their recruiting offices and at points throughout their training at Cape May, NJ. Each one has unique viewpoints on basic training, on reasons to enlist, and on what it takes to get through and graduate in one piece.
The recruits interviewed are:
Heather Bevel, Baltimore, MD.
Cliff Boon, Charlotte, NC.
Anthony Lawing, Charlotte, NC.
Annie Nguyen, Atlanta, GA.
Carey North, Baltimore, MD.
